There is an article in today’s New York Times about some of the key players from Merrill Lynch that helped perpetuate the downward spiral of our economy. Apparently their six-figure salaries weren’t enough to slake their greed, they needed millions of dollars in bonuses to keep their lives happy.
For Dow Kim, 2006 was a very good year. While his salary at Merrill Lynch was $350,000, his total compensation was 100 times that — $35 million.
