Here I am, back in Lawton, Oklahoma. When I left six months ago I swore off ever having to come back. The Army had different plans.
No, I’m actually not that disgruntled. I’m actually pretty excited.
Tomorrow I start the Joint Fires Observer course. This two-week course is where fires support officer’s (FSO), forward observers (FO), and other personnel that are designated to call in indirect fires, go to learn to be more proficient in calling in fires from aircraft. Because I’ll be an FSO in the future — probably some time …
